Hi, I'm Scott Laderer, owner and photographer of Here's Your Shot Photography.

Here's Your Shot was started in an effort to bring affordable action pictures to the parents and friends of high school and youth league athletes. As a father, one of my 3 boys was always playing something, usually a sport in every season. Though I tried, I could never seem to get the pictures I wanted - the tackle, the slide at the plate, the goal - a combination of both equipment and skill shortcomings.

When my son Alex made 1st string Varsity his senior year, I decided to "get serious". I bought a new Sony alpha-700 and a 70-200mm f2.8 lens to help capture the action under the highschool lights. After a little practice, the pictures started getting better and it occurred to me that other parents might like a keepsake photo or two as well. A year into this endeavor, the best part has been the "thank yous". One mom wrote to say "Thank you so much! Kevin never got to play much but having a picture of him on the field with one of his best friends is something we'll all treasure." That's really what makes it worth it.

I've slowly branched out from the sports side and have done senior portraits, event photography, and am continuing to work on nature photography that I've always loved.
